I have just returned from hosting our first trip of the new decade. To say that it was adventure filled would be the understatement of the new decade. Before getting on to the fishing portion of this blog, please allow me to recount some of the adventures. They are worth it! Fishing at Trout Hideaway, Mpumalanga, South Africa. We visited this venue somewhere in November. The road was a bit hard first 10km on dirt road were OK, the next 10 were 4X4 only, driving on slippery rocks, took us forever. The venue looked just wonderful, 6 dams and the plenty river to fish. Since the new river season kicked off on the Wandle on the Glorious 16th June members, have been busy out on the banks and managed to land a plethora of species from Wild Brown Trout right through to ornamental Golden Orfe, with everything in between. So far in total over 10 species have come out and the count will hopefully be rising all the time. Nicely coloured Wild Brown Trout. Opening day 10lb 6oz Barbel for the Chairman.
